The Thirty-Sixth Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), held at Bridgetown, Barbados, 2-4 July 2015, endorsed the establishment of the Caribbean Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (CCREEE) as the implementation hub for sustainable energy activities and projects within the region. The Secretariat of the centre is situated in Bridgetown, Barbados, and was inaugurated on 28 October 2015. CCREEE is being established with technical and financial support of the CARICOM Energy Programme, SIDS DOCK, UNIDO and the Governments of Austria and Barbados. The centre is part of a wider SDG-7 partnership, which aims at the creation of a network of regional sustainable energy centres for Small Island Developing States (SIDS) in the Pacific, Caribbean, Indian Ocean and Africa.
During the next months, the internal administrative rules and procedures, as well as the offices cycles of the centre will be established. To facilitate the process, the partners are searching for the following roles:
Under the supervision of the CCREEE Interim Director (ID) and in close coordination with the UNIDO Project Manager (UNIDO-PM), the AFC establishes and manages the administrative and financial proceedings of the CCREEE Secretariat. The AFC supervises the Senior Administrative Secretary and other support staff.
Under supervision of the Interim Director (ID) and the Administrative and Finance Consultant (AFC), the Senior Administrative Secretary (SAS) is responsible for establishing the administration and secretarial procedures and performs a variety of complex secretarial/clerical and administrative tasks of a confidential nature.
